Cryptolaemus montrouzieri

This predator is highly effective against various mealybug species, with a remarkable ability to detect its prey. Winged adults actively seek out mealybug infestations for both feeding and egg deposition. Both adults and immature stages are voracious and consume large numbers of mealybugs. It is particularly suited for controlling moderate to high levels of infestation. Under optimal conditions at 25°C, it completes its life cycle within approximately 35 days.

Target pests

Different species of mealybugs, such as citrus mealybug, longtailed mealybug, vine mealybug, pink hibiscus mealybug etc. More specifically the following species are main targets: Planococcus citri, Pseudococcus longispinus, Planococcus ficus, Maconellicoccus hirsutus, etc. Occasionally, it can also feed on soft body insects such as aphids and scales.

Storage

The product should be released promptly upon receipt to ensure maximum survival and quality. If necessary, it can be stored at 13-15°C for 1-2 days.
